Keeping the Brain Trust inside Madagascar for building future Malagasy leadership. What do we mean by this?
-For years, bright Malagasy students have been leaving Madagascar to study abroad.
-Most of these students never return to live permanently in MadagascarMany of these students who stay overseas send financial assistance to their families in Madagascar, but their genius is not applied to the developmental needs of Madagascar.
-On the other hand, HECMMA graduates are entering government and private sector leadership jobs with their training.
HECMMA is producing students with bachelors and masters degrees in the following areas:
-Business - Management
-Business - Marketing
-Tele-communications
-Engineering (Civil/Electrical)
HECMMA is a French anagram stands for Higher Education in Management and Applied Mathematics (Engineering).HECMMA began in 1999 and gain accreditation from the Malagasy government in 2001.
HECMMA began with one classroom.
Today, HECMMA has three campuses in the capital Antananarivo (rented), and one campus in the industrial city.
All of the professors at the university have accredited degrees (many from universities in North America and Europe) and have many years of experience teaching their major subjects.
PFM's President Clint Akins presents English-language College textbooks in mathematics and business to HECMMA's President and one of its Founders, Dr. Roger Randriamizah.
PFM's cooperation with HECMMA began in June 2006.
HECMMA'S Current Needs
Personnel
1. University-level Teachers in the following disciplines:
-Marketing
-Management
-Civil Engineering
-Applied Mathematics
-Tele-communications
-English (TESOL - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)- speaking, reading, writing
2. Professional persons in any of the above-listed disciplines who can lead short-term seminars - one weekend to one month - on professional topics.
PFM/HECMMA will guide and provide logistical support for the teacher's stay in Madagascar. The teacher will need seek/provide the financial means to support themselves while serving in Madagascar. A budget can be sent to candidates upon request. Email .
